WISE INTELLIGENT PRESENTS...THE HEREAFTER SNEAK PEAK!!!
WELCOME TO THE HEREAFTER
Let me begin by saying THANK YOU to everyone that came out to THE Feb. 12th HEREAFTER at the Trocodero in Philadelphia. I apologize if anyone lost their jobs after not making it in to work that Friday morning…I think Intelligent Muzik is hiring?!?! Contact Born Free for details, sorry brother..lol! Now, if you didn’t make it out to THE HEREAFTER on Thursday you missed what was arguably some of the best performances in heaven to date! Thanks to Wildseed Films you can get a sneak preview before it’s available on DVD, in its entirety, check it out below
THE HEREAFTER, FEBRURAY SNEAK PREVIEW from Stacey Muhammad on Vimeo.
Performances straddled the spectrum, everything from the natural and organic to the chemical merger of street knowledge and the metaphysical were represented, and represented well if I’d say so myself. My deepest gratitude goes out to all the artists/activists that touched down in THE HEREAFTER.
A big shout and heavenly love to Simplicity…you are amazing sister, so pure so real, love your work and hope to see more of you. P.S. your sneaker game is crazy, thanks for linking me to the brother with the customs, I’m trying to get fresh like you!
Syn da Villian.. I really can’t express how essential you were to that night of exceptional performances. Your Hip Hop is your own! That’s the true definition of FRESH! I’m rocking with you. To Ras Asia..again, the amount of original selections you perform is beyond me? Every time I’ve seen you perform you’ve done new music I’ve never heard. You are full of music Royal Star and I’m glad you’ve found THE HEREAFTER a fitting platform to share your musical expression.
To the brother Akademic, I was a fan of yours before THE HEREAFTER. From the day I saw you at your own event in Jersey, I’ve been promoting you as an artist people should know more about…you came, they saw, you educated! If urban public schools could get two Akademic sessions per week we could get those AYP reports up to snuff…lol!
To my beloved brothers of Maroon Society (Divine Allah, MKassa, King Samir)…words fall short of being capable to express what we felt in THE HEREAFTER. When you brothers spoke things were created! Your position, posture and firm stance on the square for Freedom, Justice and Equality is unprecedented… you are true artists/activists!
Ms. Wise…I mean, “A GOOD name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.” – Prov. 22:1. Whether, you chose the name or inherited it, you wear it well. You are truly wise beyond your years (…you don’t look old enough to be in the venues?) and your poetry is fearless, uncompromising, without apology or need of an alibi…THE TRUTH! Thank you for again blessing us with your wisdom and understanding.
To the gods called Magnum O…DYNAMIC!!! I have not witnessed in the past 10-15 years any MC’s, anywhere, who have managed to capture a style of Hip Hop as authentic as an Ultramagnetic or Double Trouble, merge it with knowledge, righteousness and substance all perfectly wrapped in a gods swagger! Truly Amazing…thank you for your performance in THE HEREAFTER and your contribution to keeping the level of consciousness ascending to new heights!
Last but not least, a shout out from all the artists that performed and from Wise Intelligent and THE HEREAFTER to DJ Baye you held us down according to your craft! Everyone was pleased and anticipate you spinning at the next event (BTW, how did you know what intro breaks to play for each artist? Thought you all had a private rehearsal…crazy?)
Thank You to Intelligent Muzik and Wildseed Films for once again providing a platform for and capturing consciousness changing art in a time when ignorance is as fashionable as fat-shoelaces and two-finger rings.

INTELLIGENTNEWZNET...Wise Intelligent Presents..."This Iz Luv"
INTELLIGENTNEWZNET
INFORMING the HIP-HOP COMMUNITY
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE...
Intelligent Muzik & THE HEREAFTER proudly presents another offering from Wise Intelligent's critically acclaimed 2nd solo album, "Wise Intelligent Iz...The Talented Timothy Taylor!"
“This Iz Luv” is the kind song that our so-called “leaders” and radio/TV personalities said did NOT exist in Hip Hop. This song was NOT created and inspired by Valentines Day! “This Iz Luv” was written and produced to pay tribute to the type of Black Love that lays at the very foundation of our lives.
The track was produced by Masada and Wise Intelligent of HavKnotz Productions and features the soulful vocals of the exquisite Tye Austin.
The shear beauty and elegance of “This Iz Luv” will have you reflecting and thinking about the kind of love and relationships that we all desire and need to survive in this cold world. This song represents our honest, deep, intense, and passionate feelings of love, friendship, and commitment to the women in our lives and the women in our communities. This is what LOVE sounds like in THE HEREAFTER!

THE HEREAFTER VIDEO CLIP
THE HEREAFTER from Stacey Muhammad on Vimeo.
Wise Intelligent / Intelligent Muzik presents...
THE HEREAFTER, Where Hip Hop Meets Spoken Word.
November 2008 show...
Featuring Narubi Selah, Mrs. Betty's son, Shyster, NYOIL and the Legendary Wise Intelligent.
Stay Tuned for the HEREAFTER Radio Show
and the December 2008 HEREAFTER Show.
Has HIP HOP lost it's way? Has HIP HOP strayed hopelessly from the activism on which it was founded? Is HIP HOP dead? Is HIP HOP responsible for the disconnect between today's youth and the Civil Rights generation? Can HIP HOP's influence be leveraged to promote positive social change?
The Hereafter is a series of Hip Hop meets Spoken Word concerts that explore these and other questions. The Hereafter focuses on what rapper / activist Wise Intelligent has referred to as " the most essential element of Hip Hop Culture" ACTIVISM!
The mission of The Hereafter is to support an ongoing, living, democratic culture the compels Hip Hop adherents to become active participants in shaping, not only their futures, but the future of their communities, nation and world.

INTELLIGENTNEWZNET...The HEREAFTER (VIDEO CLIP & BLOG)
INTELLIGENTNEWZNET
INFORMING the HIP-HOP COMMUNITY
THE HEREAFTER
(Inventing the Future)
Good evening ladies and gentlemen, Jews and Gentiles…long time no post. However, I would like to start out by making this an official invite to all who have not yet made their way into THE HEREAFTER to make it out to the next experience on Friday, January 23rd at Liquid Charm on 1207 Race Street in Philly! For those of you that don’t know, THE HEREAFTER is a Hip Hop meets spoken word concert series that features some of the illest wordsmiths on this side the astrological belt; some you may have heard of and others you will be hearing quite a bit about real soon! If you missed the first two events you missed an opportunity to glimpse the future. But thanks to WILD SEED FILMS you can still sneak a peak at what you missed.
Click this link to see video trailer for THE HEREAFTER.
O.K. now, first I would like to say that I love Hip Hop and its adherents. I know a lot of us are halfway in the strip club and halfway in a mosque so I’m going to be polite! When we enter THE HEREAFTER brothers we can’t be smuggling porno DVD’s into heaven!?!? Yes, someone wanted to sale porn DVD’s in THE HEREAFTER. I understand your hustle, but THE HEREAFTER is not a hustle it’s a movement! That move was tantamount to trying to push pork-chop sandwiches in Muslim Mosque #7?!?! LOL, gotta love the people…
Secondly, MC’s be on point! Yes you will be I.D.’d at the door. We are performing in nightclub establishments that can be shut down for allowing minors into the event; show your I.D. and keep it moving. When you show up for work, you punch your card and go to work with no complaints! When you come to THE HEREAFTER and you’re asked to show I.D., just show the damn I.D. and go to work! Thank you…we are not just rapping people, we are INVENTING THE FUTURE. The mission of THE HEREAFTER is to create an ongoing living democratic culture that compels Hip Hop artists and its adherents to action in the form of community activism. We are building tomorrow today…help us!
Furthermore, I would like to thank all the MC’s and Poets who have touched down in THE HEREAFTER and blessed us with some incredibly life giving performances. A Big shout and real love goes out to NYOIL, this brother came down from Brooklyn ONE DEEP; and murdered the jam like a nine member crew. My man is cinematic in every sense of the word. NY performed bangers like Yall Should All Get Lynched and What Up My Wigger… His set was straight Classic!
Big Love to Narubi Selah. I mean, this sister did one piece about a sister in an abortion clinic having every powerful black ancestor cut out of her womb. Everybody from Malcolm and Huey to Chesimard and Mary Bethune were aborted from one sister! It was literally a work of art, a master piece! And I can’t forget the play on the Frankie Limon “Goodie Goodie” joint! Thank you sister for giving us a part of you!
I can’t forget the brother SHYSTER. If you don’t know, just google “Mrs. Betty’s Son” or click on the link to THE HEREAFTER trailer for a sample of how he represents. “Jesus Shyst” was one of the titles he used for himself. Shyster is a youth advocate who just straight school yard bullied our Nov. 13th event. Thank You Shyster, you are definitely an asset to Hip Hop culture, Spoken Word, Black Culture and humanity in general. A necessary brother!
To my brother CEE KNOWLEDGE of the Digable Planet’s, words can’t express my gratitude! The people loved you (as usual) and wanted more. CEE KNOW put on some joints I never heard before, had me searching the net for all his new shit! I’ve always been a fan but Dec. 6 sent me back to when I actually had to have an artists music. We love you brother, Thank You!
Another outstanding performance came from ANGELZ INC. (God’s Gang). These brother’s (it was about 7 of them, you don’t see that many MC’s in a crew nowadays. This was nostalgic and refreshing) descended on the venue like the gods they were, Held the crowd in complete awe for the entire length of their set then mysteriously ascended into invisibility. I didn’t see them leave! I love you brothers, we have to do more shows together…I’m a FAN! Besides they’re from New Brunswick, NJ the place of my birth!
To my brother RAHZII HIGHPOWA, amazing young man, amazing. That Gregory Isaac joint you re-made, with the LL “Doin It Well” sample is a big, big tune ya heeeeeearrrrrr. You killed it, rumor has it that certain sisters in the venue said you literally made the spot a Liquid Charm!?!? LOL, good thing you didn’t do “Hot Flash”! Keep up the good work, you’re an original!
Nuff love, Thanks, and appreciation to Ras Asia, K-Born and High Power, Ja’Tun, Mecca Star (You Gotta Come Back!!!), The 49ers, Soulkwest, Team Drazmatik, DJ Slice and the Soundbwoikillhaz’s, DJ SOULBUCK, and my band The Resurrection (Pup Dogg-guitar, Diamond-drums, Jamel-keys, Shane-bass) etc.
Nuff love goes out to all the conscious community organizations and activists who have renewed their love for Hip Hop culture in THE HEREAFTER: C.O.C.O (Coalition of Conscious Community Organizations), S.I.S.T.A. (Supporting & Inspiring Sisters to Achieve), Intelligent Kidz Inc., Imagine Me, Civil Alert World Radio, African Peoples Unity, Temple University Black Student Union, TU Professor/Lawyer Michael Coard/Hip Hop 101, and others!

INTELLIGENTNEWZNET...THE HEREAFTER DECEMBER 6TH @ LIQUID CHARM IN PHILLY!!!
INTELLIGENTNEWZNET
INFORMING the HIP-HOP COMMUNITY
What’s Good Family!!!
If for whatever reason good, bad, or indifferent you didn’t get a chance to make it out to the TROC in Philly last Thursday (Nov. 13th) to see Wise Intelligent launch his “The HEREAFTER” concert series you missed one of the BEST shows of the year!!! If this is what life is really like in “The HEREAFTER” then I’m all in…
Please stay tuned for video clips of all the ill performances.
Everybody on the bill gave their all and left everything on the stage! This was the type of show that you can argue all night about who was the dopest because everybody was just that good. “The Soundbwoikillhaz’s” were amazing (Dj Slice is insane on the tables!) and “The 49ers” , “Jah’ Tun”, and “Soulkwest” gave very strong performances as well. The Poet Shyster was absolutely sick! He was like a mixture of Saul Williams and Freddie Foxx. He beat us into submission with every word that exploded from his soul… Then Def Poetry’s own the super sensational “Narubi Selah” hit the stage and gave what can only be described as poetry incarnate. She is without a doubt one of the strongest artists on the scene right now and is the perfect representation of life in The HEREAFTER. And if that wasn’t enough the almighty NYOIL jumped into the mix and took the show to that next level and gave one of the most passionate performances I’ve seen in a very long time. NYOIL is the definition of an MC and we were all blessed to be given the opportunity to see this brother do this thing.
At this point the a whole room was electrified and alive with new life and the new hope that Hip Hop can once again MOVE THE CROWD in a positive and progressive direction, so when the Legendary Wise Intelligent emerged the crowd was ready to burst into flames. Wise Intelligent rocked with a live band and confirmed once again that he is one of the greatest artists that Hip Hop has ever produced. He proceeded to inspire and inform, educate and entertain and gave us all a small glimpse of the true power and original intention of Hip Hop culture. Wise reminded us that the foundation of Hip Hop is rooted in activism and that we must return to that spirit of activism and community development to move us forward and beyond these very troubled times.
So if you missed the show you really missed something very special but have no fear because Wise Intelligent announced that the next chapter in The HEREAFTER concert series will be on Saturday, Dec 6th @ Liquid Charm in Philly.
